Our story

Three framers and a transit level

Walter Brennan started Forgemont with a pickup, a framing crew and a promise to finish when he said he would. Thirty-eight years later we still publish our on-time rate and our safety record every morning.

Today 420 people build homes, commercial buildings, industrial facilities and roofs across four counties. About a third of our work comes from clients who have built with us before.

History

Thirty-eight years, measured

  1. 1987

    Walter Brennan starts Forgemont with one truck, a transit level and a framing crew of three.

  2. 1994

    First commercial contract: a two-storey medical office in Tacoma.

  3. 2003

    Self-perform concrete division formed; first tilt-up warehouse.

  4. 2011

    Roofing & exteriors division launched after the winter storms.

  5. 2018

    Design-build studio opens with in-house estimators and BIM.

  6. 2024

    1,000th project handed over; 400 days without a lost-time incident.
